JOHNSON C. SMITH UNIVERSITY CATALOGS

The JCSU Catalog Collection is part of a larger collection of university catalogs housed by the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center. This collection of 95 school catalogs spans from 1878 to 2008 and provide information on which students attended JCSU in a given year, which courses of study were offered, and the roster of university administrators, trustees, officers, staff, and faculty members. Catalogs are physically housed in the Inez Moore Parker Archives, and can be reviewed via appointment with the University Archivist.

1878-1879 issue, oldest catalog in JCSU’s collection

1921-22 issue, first after the school became Johnson C. Smith University

1932 issue, first after women were admitted at JCSU
